Industrial Power Solutions, a Sundt Company, seeks an Electrical Estimator to join our growing estimating team. This role supports competitive, high quality bids for industrial and infrastructure projects, including Data Centers and Water/Wastewater Facilities.

Qualificações

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 1 to 5 years of estimating experience in electrical controls, engineering, construction or related field.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems and construction methods.

Responsabilidades

  • Collaborate with estimators, PMs, vendors, subcontractors and clients to create proposals.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with electrical cost estimates.
  • Solicit, review, and manage vendor and subcontractor pricing and RFQs.
  • Support estimate organization, job setup, and bid package preparation.
  • Independently estimate small to medium project scopes with minimal supervision.

Industrial Power Solutions, a Sundt Company, is seeking a motivated Electrical Estimator to join our growing estimating team. This role will support competitive, high quality bids for industrial and infrastructure projects, including Data Centers and Water/Wastewater Facilities.

Whether you're building on an electrical or construction background or taking the next step in your estimating career, this position provides hands on experience, mentorship from experienced professionals, and opportunities to develop your estimating, technical, and project management skills while contributing to projects that support communities and critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with estimators, Project Managers, vendors, subcontractors, and clients to develop competitive proposals.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with detailed electrical cost estimates.
  • Solicit, review, and manage vendor and subcontractor pricing and RFQs.
  • Support estimate organization, job setup, and bid package preparation.
  • Assist with developing proposals, scopes of work, and supporting documentation.
  • Participate in preconstruction meetings and project kickoff activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve estimating processes, bid accuracy, and overall efficiency.
  • Independently estimate small to medium project scopes with minimal supervision.
  • Manage multiple estimates and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with estimating, project management, operations, vendors, subcontractors, and customers.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 to 5 years of experience in estimating, electrical controls, engineering, construction, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems and construction methods.
  • Ability to perform quantity takeoffs and understand basic estimating processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
  • Strong organizational, communication, analytical, and problem solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team.
  • Commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and professional development.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Vocational or technical education in electrical, construction, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with industrial electrical construction.
  • Experience with Data Center, Water/Wastewater, manufacturing, or other industrial projects.
  • Experience with electrical estimating software.
  • Experience reading electrical drawings, specifications, one line diagrams, and construction documents.
  • Experience with vendor and subcontractor pricing.
Physical Requirements
  • Primarily office based work using computers and estimating software.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the workday.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and electronically.
  • Occasional visits to active construction sites.
  • Ability to walk on uneven surfaces and navigate active construction environments.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment when visiting project sites.
