Job summary

Loenbro in Aurora, CO is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join our West unit. The ideal candidate has 4–5 years of electrical estimating experience, with Design Build/Design Assist exposure on water treatment projects.

You will collaborate with project managers and engineers to review specs and drawings, prepare detailed cost estimates, bids, and risk analyses, and coordinate with procurement to stay aligned with budgets.

Qualifications

Proficiency in electrical estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong ability to navigate Trimble Estimation software.
Strong understanding of electrical systems and components.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand technical requirements of mission-critical/data center projects.
Review project specifications and drawings to identify key elements for estimation.
Prepare detailed cost estimates using industry-standard methods and software.
Analyze labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs to develop budgets.
Prepare and submit competitive bids; coordinate pricing with procurement.
Evaluate risks and propose mitigation strategies within estimates.
Collaborate with engineering and operations to ensure budgets align with project plans.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4-5 years of electrical estimating expertise and will play a crucial role in assessing project requirements, preparing accurate cost estimates, and contributing to the successful execution of electrical installations. Candidates with industrial electrical estimating experience in Design Build/Design Assist for Water Treatment would be top choice.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Project Assessment

Collaborate with project managers and engineers to thoroughly understand the technical requirements of mission-critical/data center projects.
Conduct comprehensive reviews of project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to identify key project elements.

Cost Estimation

Utilize industry-standard estimating software and methodologies to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates.
Analyze project components, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs, to develop comprehensive project budgets.

Bid Preparation

Prepare and submit competitive and well-organized bids in a timely manner.
Coordinate with the procurement team to obtain accurate and up-to-date pricing for materials and subcontractor services.

Risk Analysis

Evaluate potential risks associated with project execution and incorporate risk mitigation strategies into cost estimates.
Provide insights into alternative solutions or cost-saving measures without compromising project quality.

Collaboration

Work closely with the project management team to ensure alignment between the estimated costs and project budgets.
Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and operations, to gather insights that enhance the accuracy of estimates.

Other duties may be assigned as needed to support business operations.

Minimum Qualifications

Required

Proficiency in electrical estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in electrical estimating, with a focus on Wastewater Treatment projects
