Job summary

Superior is seeking an Estimating Intern for our Columbus, Ohio headquarters for the Spring term (January – April). Based at our headquarters, the Intern will work with the Estimating team on project coordination, takeoffs, and data collection.

Responsibilities include producing quantity takeoffs from electrical drawings, gaining exposure to AccuBid, reading drawings and specifications, and visiting construction jobsites for verification.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Construction Systems Management or related field

Responsibilities

• Produce quantity takeoffs of electrical systems from drawings (lighting, lighting controls, fire alarm devices)
• Gain exposure to AccuBid
• Learn how to read drawings and specifications for project requirements
• Participate in training on industry software, codes, design practices
• Visit construction jobsites to assist with field verification and data collection
