Job summary

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical engineering, facilities engineering, power systems engineering, construction management, or infrastructure modernization.
  • Experience supporting DoD, Joint, Combatant Command, or Special Operations organizations is preferred.
  • Experience designing, analyzing, or maintaining commercial, industrial, or government electrical systems and facility infrastructure.
  • Experience supporting facility construction, sustainment, modernization, or renovation projects.
  • Experience preparing engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate engineering activities across multiple stakeholders while supporting project schedules, budgets, and operational requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to present engineering recommendations and technical briefings to government and program leadership.
  • Active Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical engineering assessments of existing facilities, utilities, and infrastructure supporting Government operations.
  • Develop electrical designs, calculations, specifications, and construction documents for new construction, renovation, modernization, and sustainment projects.
  • Design and evaluate medium- and low-voltage electrical distribution systems, standby generators, UPS systems, lighting, grounding, and renewable energy solutions.
  • Conduct facility inspections, condition assessments, power quality analyses, and electrical system evaluations.
  • Prepare engineering reports, design packages, cost estimates, and technical recommendations for infrastructure projects.
  • Review contractor design submissions, shop drawings, and construction documentation for technical compliance.
  • Support construction management activities including design reviews, field inspections, commissioning, and acceptance testing.
  • Coordinate engineering activities with Government personnel, contractors, utility providers, and host nation representatives.
  • Ensure designs comply with UFC, NEC, NFPA, IEEE standards, OSHA, and host nation regulations.
  • Identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions to improve resilience and readiness.
  • Support contingency engineering and rapid infrastructure assessments during emergent operations.
  • Coordinate efforts with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated facility solutions.
  • Maintain engineering documentation, as-built drawings, system configurations, and project records.
  • Provide recommendations on lifecycle maintenance, modernization, energy efficiency, and resilience.
  • Promote engineering best practices, safety, and continuous improvement.

The Opportunity

CACI is seeking experienced Electrical Engineers, Senior to support facilities engineering, infrastructure modernization, and mission sustainment operations across the Indo-Pacific. This position consists of nineteen (19) Electrical Engineers, Senior strategically located in Honolulu, Hawaii; Okinawa, Japan; the Philippines; South Korea; Guam; Australia; Singapore; Mainland Japan; Thailand; and Palau to provide electrical engineering expertise supporting logistics facilities, expeditionary infrastructure, mission support sites, warehouses, maintenance facilities, airfields, ports, command and control facilities, and other critical operational infrastructure.

Reporting directly to the Facilities Operations Manager, the Electrical Engineers, Senior serve as CACI's engineering professionals responsible for planning, designing, assessing, inspecting, and supporting the installation, operation, sustainment, and modernization of electrical distribution systems, power generation, lighting systems, backup power, renewable energy solutions, and facility electrical infrastructure supporting Government mission requirements.

The Electrical Engineers, Senior, work closely with Government stakeholders, civil, mechanical, and structural engineers, architects, construction contractors, facility managers, utility providers, host-nation agencies, and mission partners to deliver safe, resilient, and reliable electrical systems that enhance operational readiness across geographically dispersed locations. These positions contribute to successful program execution by ensuring electrical infrastructure remains reliable, compliant, sustainable, and capable of supporting mission operations throughout the Indo-Pacific theater.

Responsibilities

  • Review contractor design submissions, shop drawings, and construction documentation for technical compliance.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Department of Defense, Joint, Combatant Command, Service Component, or Special Operations organizations is preferred.
  • Experience designing, analyzing, or maintaining commercial, industrial, or Government electrical systems and facility infrastructure.
  • Experience supporting facility construction, sustainment, modernization, or renovation projects.
  • Experience preparing engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate engineering activities across multiple stakeholders while supporting project schedules, budgets, and operational requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to present engineering recommendations and technical briefings to Government and program leadership.
  • Active Secret Clearance
Desired
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering is highly desirable.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is desirable for candidates pursuing professional licensure.
  • Experience supporting overseas military installations, contingency engineering, expeditionary facilities, or infrastructure development projects.
  • Experience utilizing AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Revit MEP, SKM Power Tools, ETAP, EasyPower, ArcGIS, Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Knowledge of Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS), National Electrical Code (NEC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), IEEE standards, and applicable energy and environmental regulations.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Construction Quality Management (CQM), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP), or equivalent engineering certifications are preferred.
  • Experience supporting electrical infrastructure modernization across the Indo-Pacific or other Combatant Command environments is highly desirable.
  • Experience designing or supporting resilient power systems, microgrids, backup generation, renewable energy integration, and mission-critical facility electrical systems is highly desirable.
