Job summary

Chentronics, LLC, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, is seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician to support development, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of ignition and flame-safety products in Norwich, NY.

The role is hands-on, building electronic assemblies, testing boards, and helping maintain a calibrated lab environment while collaborating with engineers to improve manufacturability and reliability.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in electronics-related field.
• Experience using electronic test equipment, interpreting schematics, troubleshooting PCB assemblies, soldering (through-hole & SMT).
• Experience preparing tests, recording data, and producing technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Build, modify, solder, rework, and repair PCBs (through-hole & SMT).
• Assemble circuit-board stack-ups, wiring, connectors, cable harnesses, and electromechanical hardware.
• Troubleshoot electronic assemblies, identify root causes, and support design improvements.
• Prepare test setups, conduct engineering tests, monitor instrumentation, and document results.
• Read schematics, BOMs, test specs, manuals, and assembly instructions.
• Maintain calibrated equipment and an organized laboratory environment for reliable testing.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve manufacturability, testability, and reliability.
• Support prototype builds, circuit-board troubleshooting, and product validation.
