Job summary

Jedson Engineering, an Engineering Consultancy based in Cincinnati, OH, is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to design power distribution, lighting and grounding systems for industrial projects. Travel to project sites is expected.

Ideal candidates will bring strong knowledge of NEC, ANSI, NEMA, NFPA, and experience with design/installation of medium and low-voltage distribution equipment. Onsite project supervision and CAD proficiency are required.

Qualifications

Experience with design/installation of medium- and low-voltage distribution equipment.
Strong knowledge of NEC, ANSI, NEMA, NFPA codes and standards.
Able to handle onsite plant projects with minimal supervision.
Well organized with ability to meet deadlines and operate within budgets.

Responsibilities

Design power system facilities and equipment and coordinate construction, operation, and maintenance.
Develop conceptual layouts and sketches for efficient designs per project.
Participate in planning, scheduling, and detail phases of electrical projects.
Develop construction specifications and contractor scope of work documents.
Prepare drawings and equipment/ materials specifications for construction and installation.
Inspect installations for conformance with design and safety standards.
