Job summary

LG Energy Solution Vertech, Inc. (LGES Vertech) is seeking an Engineering Manager for our Electrical Engineering team. The role leads power systems design for battery energy storage system (BESS) products and oversees architecture, integration, and documentation across the hardware group.

You will collaborate with Product Management, Sales, and Customers to shape specifications, manage development schedules, mentor engineers, and ensure compliance with NEC and design verification standards.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of analog, digital, and power electronics.
• Proficiency in AC voltage theory, including three phase transformers.
• Solid NEC knowledge and ability to read schematics.
• Experience taking products from concept to production.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with battery storage/power equipment.
• Ability to create system-level wiring diagrams and CAD drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and electrical system design for BESS products.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Sales, and customers on specs.
• Create and maintain product development schedules; identify risks.
• Ensure design, prototypes, evaluation, and docs meet guidelines.
• Ensure test specs and plans for design verification are in place.
• Support testing to standards and project requirements.
• Provide content for end-user documentation.
• Co-develop concepts with cross-functional groups.
• Be the Electrical Team point of contact for other departments.
• Interface with suppliers/contract manufacturers.
• Provide leadership and staffing for Electrical Engineering.
• Establish KPIs and performance management.
