Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Denver, CO.

You will collaborate with engineers to design electrical and lighting systems across diverse building types, including airports and labs, performing design calculations and drafting while coordinating with other trades. The role requires pursuing a BS in EE or related field, at least two years of coursework, and proximity to the office.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Architectural Engineering from an accredited program.
• Completion of at least two years of collegiate coursework.
• Must live within a commutable distance from the office.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Designing building electrical and lighting systems for a variety of building types (airports, federal buildings, mission critical, higher education, laboratories, commercial projects).
• Assist engineers with system design calculations, drafting, and coordination with other trades (architectural and engineering).

We’ll rely on you to c ollaborate with a team of engineers, you’ll be designing building electrical and lighting systems for a variety of building types, including airports, federal buildings, mission critical, higher education, laboratories and other commercial projects. You will assist engineers with system design calculations, drafting, and other related design services including coordination with the designs of other trades (architectural and engineering).

Here's what you'll need

• In pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Architectural Engineering from an accredited program
• Completion of at least two years of collegiate coursework
• Must live within a commutable distance from the office
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

Ideally, you’ll also have knowledge on

The base salary range for this position is $40,000.00 to $60,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
