Job summary

MH3D, Inc. in Ann Arbor, MI, is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern for Spring/Summer 2026 to contribute to medical device development, including SPECT systems.

You will assist in design, development, and testing of electrical systems for pre-clinical and clinical devices, collaborate with mechanical and software engineers, and participate in PCB design and troubleshooting. Excellent problem-solving and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Electrical Engineering or related field, at sophomore level or above.
• Proficiency in CAD software for schematic capture and PCB layout; experience with Altium Designer preferred.
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and circuits.
• Familiarity with analog and digital electronics, signal processing, and microcontroller programming.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail; effective communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development, and testing of electrical systems and components for pre-clinical and clinical SPECT devices.
• Collaborate with mechanical and software engineering teams to integrate electrical systems into device prototypes.
• Participate in PCB design, assembly, and troubleshooting activities.
• Conduct experiments and analyze data to optimize device performance and reliability.
• Document design changes, test results, and troubleshooting procedures accurately.
