Job summary

Lighthouse Electric offers a 12-week Electrical Engineering Intern position focused on power systems, lighting design, and fire alarm design. You will support senior engineers, gain hands-on experience, and work on real projects in the Pittsburgh area.

The internship runs 40 hours/week in-office, starting May 17, 2027, with compensation discussed during interviews. Ideal candidates are pursuing an Engineering degree with a focus on Electrical Engineering or Power systems and are eager to learn

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with focus on Electrical Engineering and/or Power systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and professionalism in a construction environment.
• Interest in electrical construction and willingness to learn new software and skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineering leadership with design of electrical power systems.
• Assist design of electrical lighting systems.
• Assist design of fire alarm systems.
• Perform AGI32 lighting calculations.
• Conduct SKM Power Tools power system studies.
• Perform code analysis.
• Support daily job tasks and field activities.
