Salas O’Brien is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for Fall 2026. The position is part-time and on-site, offering hands-on experience in design and analysis within a federal-contract context.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering program at a four-year ABET university or college.
• Available part-time, maximum 20 hours per week; extra hours possible in Summer.
• Verification of US Citizenship required upon hire due to Federal contract compliance.

Responsibilities

• Support facility condition assessments (FCA) of infrastructure systems owned by the federal government.
• Assist electrical power designs for construction projects.
• Analyze facility systems and equipment.
• Perform 2D and 3D drafting using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Support power system studies including short-circuit, coordination, and arc-flash analyses.
• Write technical reports.
• Populate cloud-based databases.
