IB Abel INC. in York, PA, seeks an Electrical Engineering Intern (Spring 2027) to support design of power distribution, lighting, and related systems for commercial, industrial, and substation projects.

You will perform electrical engineering calculations, CAD/BIM work, and field observations under supervision. Ideal candidates are enrolled in a 4-year ABET-accredited BSEE/BSEET program, proficient in MS Office, and eager to develop in a fast-moving, team-based environment with occasional travel

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a four-year ABET-accredited BSEE/BSEET program.
• Proficient in MS Office products.
• Strong technical writing ability.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver’s license for company business.

Responsabilités

• Assist in design of electrical power distribution, lighting, and related systems for commercial, industrial, and substation projects.
• Assist in performing electrical engineering calculations and studies.
• Coordinate with other engineering, architectural, and construction disciplines.
• Coordinate with electric utility companies.
• Perform field observations and survey activities.
• Perform CAD and BIM work.
• Interact with customers to investigate and provide recommendations regarding power quality issues.
• Copy, scan, and assemble print jobs.
• Assist in job takeoff and estimating.
