Job summary

Hamilton Company in Reno is offering an Electrical Engineer Intern position. The role supports the design, development, testing, and implementation of product components, with part-time hours aligned to the academic schedule and full-time in summer.

The candidate will assist in planning and testing to ensure adequate performance across development stages, while documenting tasks with specifications and test results.

Qualifications

  • Must have demonstrated strong analytical skills.
  • Able to interpret data, generate graphs, and visually communicate test results.
  • Understanding of basic programming logic and electrical circuit principles.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as required to interface with other departments and company personnel in a service function.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Must be able to work part-time (20 hours approx.) Monday through Friday. During summer break you will be expected to work 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

The Electrical Engineer Intern is responsible for assisting the department with various projects including designing, developing, testing, and implementing product components. Responsibilities include:



  • Assisting in planning and performing design development tasks from concept to implementation.

Education/Experience


  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Must be currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Science, Engineering program at University of Nevada, Reno.
