Job summary

Brunswick's Navico Group in Menomonee Falls, WI, seeks an Electrical Engineering Intern to support new product development and sustaining efforts for the Power Solutions team. You will create and maintain documentation and assist production activities in a hybrid on-site setting. The internship runs May to August as a full-time commitment.

Relocation is available. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Qualifications

  • OrCAD/Altium PCBA design experience through coursework or internships.

Responsibilities

  • Execute product validation testing with detailed test reporting.
  • Communicate test data and issues with the engineering team via the test request system.
  • Build PCBA prototypes per engineering drawings and troubleshoot failures.
  • Design and fabricate test fixtures and provide technical assistance on product issues.
  • Plan, coordinate, and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Contribute to decision-making affecting corporate strategy.

Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to support the new product development and sustaining efforts of the Navico Group team. Activities will include creating and maintaining documentation along with supporting production efforts for the Navico Group Power Solutions team. This position is based out of Menomonee Falls, WI.

Internship details: Hybrid, onsite, remote work options with no onsite travel required. The internship will be a full‑time commitment from May to August. Relocation is available. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future. Pay range: $18.00 - $27.00 per hour.

Essential Functions
  • Execute product validation testing with detailed test reporting
  • Communicate test data and issues with the engineering team by utilizing the test request system
  • Build PCBA prototypes according to engineering drawings
  • Troubleshoot PCBA failures with guidance of engineers
  • Design and fabricate test fixtures
  • Provide technical assistance and resolution when product issues arise
  • Plan, coordinate, and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Contribute to decision‑making that affects corporate strategy
Internship Projects

Field failure diagnostics of a variety of electrical products.

Required Qualifications
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
  • Must be able to quickly adapt to changing directives in a competitive environment
  • Experience working in a lab environment (environmental chamber, electrical, soldering, PCBA fabrication) is a plus
  • OrCAD or Altium PCBA design experience through coursework, design projects, or internships
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and accept feedback
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry
  • Experience with the creation of work instructions
  • Familiarity with marine and/or RV products in professional or recreational environment
  • Experience with new product development cycles
  • Familiar with the safe use of standard electrical test equipment such as: Digital multimeters and current probes, Benchtop power supplies, Oscilloscopes

Hours

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $27.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate offered will vary depending on multiple factors including year in school/credits earned, degree, job‑related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
