Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs invites you to join our Electrical Engineering Internship in East Chicago. You will work with industry leaders on predictive, preventive, and emergency maintenance of critical equipment, while reading blueprints and technical reports to inform improvements.

You’ll participate in planning and cost-control activities for maintenance projects and gain hands-on experience in a steel-industry environment with opportunities for future full-time employment upon graduation.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related technical field.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Completion of at least sophomore year of study by Summer 2027.

Responsibilities

• Perform predictive, preventative, and emergency maintenance of equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and reports.
• Analyze operating performance and propose improvements to procedures and equipment.
• Assist in planning, scheduling, and cost control of maintenance/engineering projects.
