Job summary

Meade is seeking an Electrical Engineer III to design electrical systems for data centers, industrial buildings, offices, and other high-profile construction projects. Occasional travel to job sites may be required for observations and client meetings.

The role emphasizes collaboration with EORs, design calculations, and preparation of specifications. A Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and 4+ years of design experience are expected; a PE license is preferred but not required.

• Experience in load planning and programming is a plus.

Position

Electrical Engineer III who understands or is interested in learning programming. The scope of projects will include data centers, industrial buildings, offices and other high-profile construction projects. Travel to job sites may be required for site observations and client meetings.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for designing electrical systems and performing design calculations.
• Work alongside EORs that are reviewing, signing and sealing of projects.
• Review submittals, RFIs, change orders, preparation of record drawings, site visits, inspections and participation in commissioning work.
• Writing and editing of electrical equipment specifications, selecting equipment, electrical systems and devices.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Professional Electrical Engineering design experience in the construction industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Valid Electrical Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, not required
• Experience in load planning and programming a plus.
• Python Coding experience a plus.
• Experience designing power systems for data centers, commercial offices, manufacturing facilities, medical buildings, or other large commercial projects.
• Strong understanding of National and International Building Codes and NFPA Standards.
• Advanced knowledge of equipment power requirements, including large scale standby and emergency power system, including interactive generator controls systems.
• Experienced with Medium Voltage equipment selection and specifications is preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, BIM and Revit.

Compensation

The pay range for this position will be provided in accordance with applicable state and local laws. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, geographic location, and business needs.
