Job summary

Halff Associates, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineering Designer in San Antonio, TX with at least 2 years of electrical systems design experience.

You will produce detailed electrical drawings, panel schedules, and one-line diagrams, using Revit and other CADD tools, under senior supervision. You will collaborate with engineers, prepare cost estimates and specifications, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to meet project requirements while adhering to NEC, IESNA, ASHRAE 90.1 and

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience designing electrical systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in CADD software, including Revit, with a proven ability to create and review high-quality design plans.
  • Associates Degree in related field is required; Bachelor's degree is a plus
  • Working knowledge of NEC, IESNA, ASHRAE 90.1 and IECC.
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting survey data and performing complex calculations related to grading, drainage, and utilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and documenting design changes.
  • Project management skills to oversee multiple electrical engineering projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and reporting.
  • Comprehensive understanding of electrical engineering principles, design practices, and relevant codes and standards.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies.
  • Attention to detail and precision in all aspects of design and documentation.

Responsibilities

Halff is looking for an experienced CADD Designer to support our Electrical Engineering department in San Antonio, TX. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience with power and lighting design concepts and must be capable of performing routine calculations, equipment layout, lighting selection and photometrics calculations, circuiting electrical panels, and electrical feeder schedules under supervision of senior staff.
