Job summary

Standex Electronics is seeking an Electrical Engineering Co-op in Watertown, SD to support the Engineering department in developing and producing magnetic products such as transformers and inductors. You'll gain exposure to the technology, test processes and manufacturing environment while contributing to design, prototyping, testing and documentation under supervision.

Qualifications

Pursuing a degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (EE/EET/ME).
Familiar with testing equipment: Oscilloscope, LCR, DMM, PSU.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Able to document test results and present findings.
Soldering skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

Learn the basics of transformer and inductor design.
Review customer inputs, generate design outputs, and perform component verification.
Assist with prototyping activities, complete bill of materials, and engineering drawings designs under supervision.
Perform hands-on testing, modeling, and analysis.
Partner with a team of multi-disciplinary engineers to collectively create/enhance tools for improved design accuracy.
