Job summary

IMEG Corp is seeking a Electrical Engineering Co-op in Philadelphia, PA for Summer 2027 to assist with design, analysis, and oversight of electrical systems in buildings. The program lasts 3-12 months with a 100% employee-owned firm culture and a hybrid schedule.

You will gain hands-on experience while supporting project work, budgets, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Sponsorship is not available, and a mentor will guide you throughout the internship.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Proficient with CAD/BIM tools and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design portions of projects related to discipline systems according to code and IMEG standards.
• Assist with researching commercially available equipment resources.
• Assist with client relations, project design notebook preparation, and documentation for permanent record files.
• Coordinate design and schedules with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment-supplier disciplines.
• Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring project design progress.
• Review project documents for accuracy and completeness before final checks.
• Prepare and issue addendum information.
• Conduct periodic job site observations and other services required by the contract services agreement.
