Siemens Mobility is seeking an Electrical Engineering Co-Op for 2027 in Customer Services. You will work in small teams to document electrical modifications for rail vehicles, review schematics for root cause analysis, and create schematics for subsystems and bench test equipment.

You will also assist in rail vehicle modification electrical designs and support the technical bid process for maintenance and overhaul projects, gaining hands-on experience while collaborating with skilled engineers

We are Siemens Mobility Customer Services! Due to the amount of work, we have in the booming transportation industry, we have a position for an Electrical Engineering co-op in our organization. Our group is responsible for the engineering of modifications, modernizations and upgrades for all of our trains and other rail vehicles.


Siemens Customer Service is seeking a Co-Op student in Electrical Engineering. This position will gain exciting real-world engineering experience at a thriving company.


We frequently work in small teams to solve problems, explore new technologies, and learn from one another. The ideal intern for this environment will be enthusiastic and collaborative.


What your day-to-day will look like:


  • Document electrical modifications related to the overhaul of rail vehicles

  • Review vehicle schematics to assist in root cause analysis of issues

  • Create schematics for train subsystems and bench test equipment

  • Assist in rail vehicle modification electrical designs

  • Support in the technical bid of maintenance and overhaul projects

Who Should Apply?


  • Education/Majors: Current sophomore or junior undergraduates pursuing a BA/BS from an accredited college or university and majoring in Electrical Engineering with a strong technical or analytical aptitude

  • Work Authorization: Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United Staes without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization

  • Prior internship or co-op experience (preferred)

  • Strong analytical, writing. presentation, and critical-thinking skills

  • Industry knowledge and/or interest


Candidates should be willing to work in non-climate-controlled environments and inclement weather if required or if applicable.


You’ll Benefit From

The hourly pay range for this position $25.00 - $30.00 per hour, based off of your projected graduation year. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location. Additionally, interns for Siemens are eligible to contribute into our 401K program.
