Job summary

Waggoner Engineering, Inc. seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer in Baton Rouge to design electrical, instrumentation, and controls for water and wastewater facilities. You will develop drawings, perform calculations, and support construction through commissioning.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s in electrical engineering and 2–10 years’ experience, with AutoCAD proficiency and strong communication skills for cross-disciplinary teams. On-site in Baton Rouge, EOE.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
  • 2–10 years of professional electrical engineering experience.
  • Experience with electrical/industrial controls in water/wastewater projects.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and design electrical power distribution for water and wastewater facilities.
  • Develop construction documents: SLDs, panel schedules, lighting plans, control schematics.
  • Review calculations: load, voltage drop, fault current; coordinate with disciplines.
  • Support construction: shop drawing reviews, RFIs, start-up, commissioning.
