Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Missouri team supporting municipal water and wastewater facilities. The role focuses on electrical design, power distribution, MCCs, VFDs, lighting, instrumentation, and control systems, with emphasis on delivering projects on time and within budget.

You will prepare diagrams, calculations, and specifications, perform power system analyses, and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, clients, and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5 years of experience supporting water/wastewater projects.
• EIT certification or PE license.
• Experience with electrical design and power distribution for municipal facilities.
• Ability to design MCCs, VFDs, lighting, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Proficiency with industry-standard design software.
• Ability to perform power system analyses and technical studies.
• Strong technical skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and multi-project prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, design, and delivery of electrical systems for municipal water and wastewater facilities.
• Design power distribution, MCCs, VFDs, lighting, instrumentation, communications, and control systems.
• Prepare one-line diagrams, control schematics, specifications, plans, and design calculations using industry-standard design software.
• Perform power system analyses and technical studies.
• Collaborate with project managers, process engineers, mechanical engineers, contractors, and clients.
• Support construction through submittal reviews, RFI responses, field investigations, and startup/commissioning.
• Participate in client interactions and technical discussions.
• Contribute to proposal development and identify innovative infrastructure solutions.
• Support delivery of projects on schedule and within budget.
