Job summary

SYSTRA USA is seeking a seasoned Electrical Engineer to support the Train Control Modernization program in the Oakland/San Francisco Bay area. The role requires on-site work at client facilities and a strong background in power distribution, lighting, and control systems.

Applicants should hold a BSEE, have 10+ years of electrical engineering experience, and possess a California PE license. Proficiency with ETAP/SKM and CAD tools is essential; experience with BART projects is preferred.

Qualifications

BSEE from ABET-accredited institution.
10+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience.
Proficiency with electrical distribution modeling software such as ETAP or SKM.
California PE license.

Responsibilities

Prepare electrical specifications and functional designs per NEC and applicable standards.
Develop bid documents for power distribution equipment, grounding, lighting, and control systems.
Analyze complex engineering problems and deliver efficient solutions under tight deadlines.
Oversee construction-related administration including submittals and RFIs.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regional and national electrical codes and standards.
Utilize CAD (AutoCAD, MicroStation) to develop technical drawings.
Manage project lifecycles including scope, scheduling and budgeting.
