Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an Electrical Engineer – Sustaining to maintain and enhance fire detection hardware, including control panels, detectors, and notification devices. You will collaborate with global engineering, customer support, and compliance teams to ensure long-term product reliability and regulatory alignment.

The role requires a degree in electrical engineering and 3+ years of embedded hardware experience, plus strong debugging skills with oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.

What you will do

As an Electrical Engineer – Sustaining, you’ll focus on maintaining and enhancing existing fire detection hardware – including control panels, detectors, and notification devices. Your work will help ensure long-term product reliability, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Salary Range

SALARY RANGE: $94,000 - $125,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
