n_Logic seeks an Electrical Engineer to support anticipated defense work at Fort Eustis, VA. Role involves electrical analysis, testing support, and collaboration with government and industry on Army aircraft systems and mission equipment.

You will perform EA, develop test plans, analyze data, and contribute to airworthiness documentation while working onsite and traveling as required. U.S. citizenship and security clearance are required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide systems engineering and analysis support for testing and evaluation.
  • Develop modeling/simulation environments, architectures, and verification plans.

  • Provide EMC/EMI testing support and electrical testing.
  • Perform EA of new systems and flight-test instrumentation planning.

Job description

_n_Logic is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support anticipated work in the Fort Eustis, VA area. This role is aligned with upcoming proposal efforts and will play a key part conducting electrical analysis (EA) and testing support services formultiple Army aircraft and their associated mission equipment.

In this role, you will contribute to mission-critical efforts by applying your expertise in electrical engineering while working alongside government and industry partners in a collaborative environment. This is an opportunity to be considered early for a high-impact effort supporting critical defense missions.

Responsibilities
  • Providing systems engineering and analysis support in the definition of technical performance measures used in test and evaluation, and for post-test data collection and analysis. Examples include but are not limited to subsystem or system level simulation evaluation, human-in-the-loop evaluation or field testing of multiple aircraft types, or representative avionics, mission computers, sensors, or weapons system.

  • Assisting in the development of modeling and simulation systemenvironments, system architectures, and system verification plans for various R&D activities of the TDD-SID.

  • Generating substantiation documentation, designs, and drawings to support integration of candidate solutions onto U.S. Army aviation platforms. This work may be conducted independently or as a member of a larger team of designers and engineers. Substantiation packages must be in accordance with identified airworthiness requirements for particular aircraft platforms.

  • Electrical testing including Electromagnetic Compatibility/ Electromagnetic interference (EMC/EMI) support.

  • Performing EA of new systems, instrumentation, and organic airframes and its sub-systems. Developing multiple EA reports and flight test instrumentation plans for multiple aircraft projects. Producing EA reports suitable for airworthiness approval

  • Developing and executing Laboratory/bench test and testing.

  • Evaluating electrical systems and products by designing and conducting research programs applying knowledge of electricity and materials.

  • Confirming system and product specifications by designing feasibility and testing methods, testing properties.

  • Ensures system and product quality by evaluating testing methods; testing finished product and system capabilities; confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes. Performs engineering design evaluations.

  • Analyzing research and development plans and conducting research for system related information as directed.

  • Participating in design reviews, technical meetings, and briefings. Identifies potential risks and appropriate courses of action should technical issues arise, or user requirements change.

  • Traveling up to 25% in support of mission requirements in the form of site surveys, technical interchange meetings, training, testing support, and other critical tasks outside of the JBLE facilities. This includes assisting with equipment packing and movement as per mission requirements.

Required Qualifications
  • Active, in-scope Secret security clearance required
    • Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Electrical/Electronics Engineering from an ABET accredited program including differential and integral calculus, electrical fields and circuits, and other comparable engineering science or physics and 2+ years of experience with the generation of test plans, analysis, and reports specific to electrical, electronics, and/or avionics systems and 2+ years of experience with computer aided design (CAD) software systems (i.e. Parametric Technology Pro-Engineer/CREO, AutoCAD), experience reading and interpreting schematics, harness drawings, and wiring diagrams. Ability to present these findings at technical interchange meetings and senior level briefings.
    • OR, a Master’s Degree in the field of Electrical/Electronics Engineering from an ABET accredited program including differential and integral calculus, electrical fields and circuits, and other comparable engineering science or physics and 1+ years of experience with the generation of test plans, analysis, and reports specific to electrical, electronics, and/or avionics systems in a DoD Research & Development environment and 1+ years of experience with computer aided design (CAD) software systems (i.e. Parametric Technology Pro-Engineer/CREO, AutoCAD), experience reading and interpreting schematics, harness drawings, and wiring diagrams. Ability to present these findings at technical interchange meetings and senior level briefings

  • Compensation: The anticipated salary range for this position is $92,000–$116,000 annually. Actual compensation will depend on factors including experience, education, certifications, security clearance level, geographic location, contract labor category, and applicable government contract requirements. This position is contingent upon contract award.
