Job summary

Syska Hennessy Group is offering an Electrical Engineering Summer Intern opportunity. You will support engineering teams, learn from senior staff, and contribute to the development of mechanical and electrical designs across projects.

The program includes hands-on experience, access to design software, and an EDT-style pathway for engineers transitioning to full-time roles after graduation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at an accredited university.
• Must be at least in your second year of studies.
• Previous engineering internship or co-op is a plus.
• Knowledge of MEP AutoCAD and REVIT is beneficial; basic design software knowledge helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in preparing design documentation.
• Prepare AutoCAD and Revit drawings of Mechanical systems.
• Assist with design calculations and sizing building Mechanical systems.
• Assist with field investigations and construction site visits to observe.
• Participate in intern education program lunch-and-learn sessions.

We currently have an opportunity for an Electrical Engineering Summer Intern.

Internship Responsibilities:

As an intern, you will support our engineering teams in achieving our inspiring, demanding, and highly collaborative designs. You will learn from others, and they will expect to learn from you. You will share the responsibility, rewards, and recognition of producing truly innovative solutions and complete client satisfaction. The pace is fast, and the camaraderie is close.

Some responsibilities include:

• Assist engineers in preparing design documentation

Internship Requirements:

The ideal candidate will enjoy a team environment and also be flexible enough to work independently where needed. Candidates for this role will be eager to expand their knowledge by challenging themselves and using the highly technical resources around them.

Additional job requirements:

• Pursuing a bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Mechanical engineering
• Must be at a minimum in your second year
• Previous engineering internship or co-op experience a plus
• Knowledge of the latest version of MEP AutoCAD and REVIT is a plus
• Basic knowledge in design and calculation software; MS Office Suite
