Elve, Inc is a Davis/San Francisco–based deep-tech startup developing high-efficiency millimeter-wave RF power amplifiers. We seek an electrical engineer specializing in power electronics to design, analyze, and test power electronic circuits and systems, including high-voltage designs.

The role supports product integration across offices in San Francisco and our Davis factory. You will design converters, perform simulations, fabricate prototypes, and document specifications and test procedures

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with power electronics circuit design, including converters, magnetics, analog and digital circuits.
• Proficiency in simulation tools such as LTspice.
• Experience with hardware design, schematic capture, and PCB layout.
• Proficiency with testing and troubleshooting of power electronic systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Job Description

An electrical engineer specializing in power electronics at Elve will be responsible for the design, analysis, and testing of power electronic circuits and systems, including unique high voltage circuits. The electrical engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration of power electronic systems into the overall product. They will also be responsible for creating and documenting design specifications and test procedures. This is a full-time salaried position, based primarily in either our San Francisco office or our Davis factory.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or related field

Good To Have

• Experience with high voltage systems > 5 kV
• Experience with embedded systems and microcontrollers
• Coding experience, particularly with Python or MATLAB

Minimum Qualifications

• 1-5 years of experience in power electronics or related field
• Hands-on electronics lab expertise
• Proficiency in PCB design software
• Understanding of basic electrical engineering principles
