Job summary

Carlisle Construction Materials, Greenville, IL, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead design, modification, and installation of electrical systems across our facility. The role emphasizes safe operations, project supervision, and collaboration with maintenance teams.

The engineer will program PLCs/VFDs/HMIs, review schematics, and ensure compliance with NFPA/OSHA/NEC safety standards while supporting continuous improvement and productivity gains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• 3+ years manufacturing electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with PLC, VFD, HMIs and related controls.
• Ability to read schematics and electrical prints.
• Knowledge of NFPA, OSHA, NEC safety codes.

Responsibilities

• Design in-house equipment modifications and new installations to increase productivity; involves electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic knowledge.
• Troubleshoot maintenance and production problems to reduce downtime using technical knowledge and test equipment.
• Plan, supervise, and communicate modifications for safety, cost savings, and productivity.
• Create sketches and CAD drawings for installations; define parts and reports; update project lists.
• Attend plant initiatives such as Safety and Cost Savings.
