Job summary

Jackola Engineering and Architecture in Vancouver, WA is seeking an Electrical Engineer with a PE License to lead electrical design on diverse projects. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and contractors to deliver power, lighting, and related systems for office buildings, schools, multifamily residences, hotels, and more.

The role requires experience with building electrical codes and the ability to mentor junior staff while managing multiple priorities.

Qualifications

• PE Licensure for professional practice.
• 7+ years of design experience with building electrical systems.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and energy codes.
• Organized and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter able to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Mentor junior staff and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficiency with MS 365, Bluebeam, photometrics, and Autodesk Revit.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead electrical design staff through design and construction phases.
• Identify and solve design issues with constructable solutions.
• Collaborate in a multi-discipline team to develop power, lighting, and related systems.
• Coordinate with external suppliers, internal teams, and manufacturers.
• Select major system equipment.
• Ensure designs meet company quality standards.
• Use software to calculate loads and lighting levels.
• Respond to contractors during construction.
• Support proposals and interviews with cost breakdowns.
