Job Purpose:

As an Electrical Engineer, you will utilize computer-aided software to review, modify, and design electrical systems, while validating and improving electromechanical equipment and components. You will work under the guidance of the Vice President and collaborate with a team of mechanical, structural, and control systems engineers.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Design and evaluate electromechanical systems applying principles of mechanics, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and other power systems.
  • Develop and review control systems based on customer requirements, research manufacturing methods, and gather operator feedback.
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers and staff to identify and resolve design or performance issues.
  • Create test procedures and assist during equipment assembly and commissioning.
  • Execute technical assignments, integrating systems within schedule and budget constraints.
  • Perform root cause analysis for failures and conduct data analysis.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for customers on specific projects.
  • Inspect electrical work and ensure compliance with quality, codes, standards, and specifications before project handover.
  • Support lock-out/tag-out program activities.
  • Coordinate with Mechanical Engineers and craft workers on wiring and installation details.
  • Manage procurement for electrical panels and systems fabrication.
  • Provide technical responses to questions and requests.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations to maintain product and company reputation.
  • Create and review O&M manuals for designed equipment.
  • Track and report project progress, and mentor teams as needed.
  • Develop cooperative relationships with colleagues.
  • Create manufacturable drawings using standard drafting practices.
  • Diagnose issues, order parts, and design solutions for project challenges.
  • Maintain a clean driving record; be willing to drive company vehicles.
  • Willingness to travel short-term for project management.
  • Study and adhere to industry standards such as ISO9001, AS9100, NCCCO, OSHA, ANSI, ASME, CMAA, AWS, IBC, ASCE, among others.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineering license in Electrical Engineering
  • 3-5 years of experience in industrial automation
  • Strong background in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor
  • Strong programming skills
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision
  • Knowledge of mathematics, including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics
  • Ability to obtain a US Passport with no travel restrictions
