Job summary

Openkyber, LLC seeks an Electrical Engineer I/II/III to support advanced nuclear energy projects at Morrison Energy Center (MEC) in Richland, WA. The role includes owner’s engineering oversight, construction support, and design reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards.

Candidates may be considered at Engineer I, II, or III level based on education and experience. PE license is preferred and experience with large construction projects is welcome.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or higher.
• Electrical engineering experience aligned to Engineer I, II, or III level requirements.
• Knowledge of advanced nuclear reactor/plant design.
• Knowledge of ASME, IEEE, and NFPA 70 codes and requirements.
• Experience with high voltage, medium voltage, and low voltage electrical design and coordination.
• Experience with electrical design of substations, transmission systems, transformers, switchgear, cable raceways, grounding systems, protection systems, digital relays, and controls.
• Experience supporting engineering analysis, design reviews, and construction projects.
• Ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements and engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Support advanced nuclear energy projects, including owner's engineering oversight and construction support.
• Perform complex engineering analyses and design reviews to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical leadership across large-scale construction projects and progressive design/build initiatives.
