Job summary

General Matter in Los Angeles is seeking an early-career Electrical Engineer to help build the electrical systems at the heart of a new generation of enrichment technology. From sensors and actuators to power electronics, controls, and safety-critical firmware, you will work directly on hardware that must perform reliably in one of the most demanding engineering environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar discipline.
• Evidence of exceptional ability (portfolio of work, completed projects, etc).
• Strong understanding of electrical systems architecture, circuit design, PCBA layout, and/or harness design.
• Ability to perform trade studies and make clear recommendations using first principles and engineering fundamentals even with partial information.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop highly reliable electrical systems and components for General Matter's enrichment technology.
• Conduct systems trades, requirements capture, component selection, analysis, schematic capture, prototyping, bring-up, debugging, design documentation, manufacturing planning, and production test for electrical designs.
• Create development and qualification testing campaigns to exercise designs to their limits and ensure reliable enrichment hardware.
• Work with experts from other teams and departments to ensure fielded systems perform their intended function while being efficient, manufacturable, and reliable; challenge assumptions and build strong professional relationships.
