Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation (MPC) is seeking Electrical Engineer interns to join refinery teams. You will work on real‑world electrical and instrumentation projects, develop project management skills, and learn how all engineering disciplines operate together in a refinery.

Positions include E&I Project Engineers, Reliability E&I Engineers, and Process Control/Technical Service Engineers for spring, summer, and fall terms. A valid driver’s license and concurrent enrollment are required.

Qualifications

• Majoring in Electrical Engineering
• Strong academic performance
• Authorized to work in the US on a full‑time indefinite basis without visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Project Engineers work on real‑world electrical and instrumentation projects in a refinery setting.
• Reliability Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineers troubleshoot issues and develop solutions, using electrical analysis software.
• Process Control / Technical Service Engineers support process control systems installed throughout the refinery and in products movements areas.
