Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Waco, Texas is seeking an Electrical Engineer Intern to support design and analysis activities, with opportunities to work on system-level projects spanning RF, analog, and digital domains.

You will determine design approaches, perform feasibility studies within time and cost constraints, use modeling tools, select components, run simulations, and write scripts to automate synthesis and build tools. U.S. citizens; security clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or holding a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Strong analytical and design skills are expected.
• Familiarity with modeling tools and scripting is a plus.

Job Description

• Determine design approaches and parameters
• Perform system analysis to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints

• Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability
• Perform simulations and present design reviews to peer engineers
• Write scripts to control synthesis and build tools

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials Science Engineering or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge and/or experience with VHDL, MCM, HFSS, Network, Power, Analog, Antennas, Controls, ENE, RF, Photonics, Modem, EDA, DSP, MATLAB, Communication Systems, FPGA, Aerospace industry or Optical Engineering
• Knowledge of Code V and/or Zemax software tools
• Knowledge of FRED, Matlab, Python
• Knowledge of and/or understanding circuit analysis and operational concepts
• Familiarity with various computing environments (LINUX/Windows)
