Qualus, a leading power solutions firm, is seeking an Electrical Engineer III to support power system studies and protective coordination for utilities, commercial, and industrial clients. The role involves analyzing short-circuit behavior, arc flash, load flow, and equipment evaluation, and presenting findings to clients.

Ideal candidates will have ABET-accredited electrical engineering degrees and 4+ years of experience with SKM or similar software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited school.
• 4+ years of experience performing power system studies for industrial clients.
• Experience with SKM software.
• Strong communication and high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies for facilities using SKM, ETAP, and/or Easypower.
• Apply knowledge of low/medium-voltage switchgear and related components to determine cost-effective mitigation solutions.
• Develop study reports and communicate results to customers.
• Perform data collection activities and develop relay settings/files.
• Develop/update equipment control schematics, one-lines, and wiring diagrams.
• Work on project teams to meet quality and project management goals.
• Meet deadlines and maintain project cost accountability within budget.
• Keep technical skills current through on-the-job work and training.
• Self-manage assigned projects and coordinate with other departments.
