Job summary

Matrix PDM Engineering seeks an Electrical Engineer III to perform advanced design and analysis to support field and fabrication offices. This role requires strong technical knowledge and the ability to collaborate across teams.

The candidate will develop project documents, assess schedules and budget needs, and ensure adherence to IEEE, NEC, and NESC standards while coordinating with engineers, designers, and administrative staff.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering required; MS degree preferred.
• FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) preferred.
• 5+ years of engineering experience.
• Advanced knowledge of strength of materials, mechanics, and structural analysis.
• IEEE/NEC/NESC standards preferred.
• Experience with SKM/ETAP is preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced design tasks for projects.
• Coordinates with entry level engineers, designers, or staff.
• Assists in determining schedule and budget requirements.
• Prepares portions of project documents and edits specifications.
• Edits and reviews technical documents and calculations.
• Communicates with PM, client, and team members on assignments.
• Ensures work meets sound professional judgment and safety standards.
