Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking an Electrical Engineer 2 to join our Building Intelligence team in the United States.

You will develop and integrate building power and lighting deliverables for complex construction projects, creating 2D/3D designs and commissioning scripts using AutoCAD and Revit. The ideal candidate holds a BS in engineering, has 2+ years of experience in power systems design or commissioning, and can travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in an Engineering from an accredited engineering program.
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in design or commissioning of building power systems.
• Proficient in Revit software.
• Familiarity with essential responsibilities and activities.
• Proficient in MS Office suite of products.
• Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements including U.S. citizenship for access to classified information.
• Up to 25% Travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Originate and execute detailed design with limited supervision by Senior Engineers, including normal power distribution, emergency power generation, and lighting design.
• Perform analysis of electrical distribution systems and coordination.
• Documentation of design work via AutoCAD and REVIT in 2D and 3D platforms.
• Provide support of construction activities and technical support of operations management.
• Mentor entry level engineers and manage project deliverables.
• Travel to project jobsites as required.
• Participate in design meetings with owners, architects, and contractors.
