Job summary

RTX (Raytheon) in Tucson, AZ, seeks an Electrical Engineer to join the Hardware In the Loop (HWIL) team for designing, building and integrating missile flight test environments. You will collaborate with weapon system designers to meet requirements and deploy systems to support software development and delivery.

This 100% on-site role requires a Master’s in EE/related STEM and hands-on experience with test equipment, software, and hardware integration for complex systems.

What You Will Do

The Hardware In the Loop (HWIL) Department in Tucson, AZ is a multi-discipline organization responsible for designing, building and integrating state of the art testing environments (flight simulators for missiles), as the last step before flight test. On our team, you will work with weapon system designers to understand requirements, design solutions, integrate, and deploy the systems to help support tactical software development, testing, and delivery for missiles to the warfighter.

This role is 100% on-site at our Tucson, AZ campus. As an Electrical Engineer at Raytheon you will:

• Work on a multi-disciplined team to support systems integration


• Support troubleshooting and failure data analyses, including root cause and corrective action processes and advanced use of lab or field test equipment


• Work in a lab environment integrating software, firmware and hardware in support of complex systems

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date


• Experience with systems requirements, systems integration, systems test, systems software, and/or systems hardware.

Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience troubleshooting systems using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, network analyzers, and/or spectrum analyzers


• Experience with using telemetry data collection equipment to capture real time data and/or real time monitoring


• Experience with electrical schematics, interface control documentation, and communications protocols


• Experience with reading and integrating software routines with hardware/electronics; C/C++/C# preferred


• Experience with instrumentation and collection of large data sets, including the application of scripting or automation to data collection and analysis

The salary range for this role is 75,800 USD - 144,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of **all** experience levels.
