Techtronic Industries is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to lead embedded power electronics for battery-powered products, focusing on power conversion and motor control. Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of embedded electronics design with hardware ownership, 32-bit MCUs (firmware exposure is a plus).
• Experience in power conversion and/or motor drives in embedded hardware.
• Experience with MOSFET switching in 20–80V battery systems, including gate drive and protection.
• Knowledge of electronic component selection and tradeoffs.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools; able to support PCB layout as needed (Altium or equivalent).
• Strong work ethic; organized, process-oriented; excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and own power electronics hardware for battery-powered products, including architecture and schematic capture.
• Design and debug MOSFET switching power stages and related circuits for low-voltage/high-current applications.
• Support motor control hardware implementations and collaborate with firmware engineers on HW/FW interfaces.
• Prototype, test, and troubleshoot embedded electronics with lab equipment and analysis software.
• Lead design activities including component selection, schematic capture, PCB layout, prototype builds, and test plans.
• Communicate and motivate across the organization to meet project metrics and schedules.
• Independently track projects to adhere to schedule and product development stage-gate processes.
