Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation seeks an Electrical Engineer II to design, develop, and test electrical/electronic systems for aerospace and defense applications. You will validate systems, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to design reviews while mentoring junior engineers.

The role supports the IAS/ISR, Aviation and Security sectors, with requirements to understand EWIS, EMC/EMI, and FMEA concepts, and to obtain a U.S. security clearance as necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in electrical engineering or a related role.
• Proficiency in electrical/electronic circuit design and testing techniques.
• Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical/electronic systems.
• Develop circuit card assemblies where applicable.
• Implement electrical wiring design practices.
• Conduct testing and validation of electronic systems and components.
• Troubleshoot and debug electronic circuits.
• Document technical designs, test plans and results.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet product requirements.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical insights.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance.
