Job summary
HNTB is seeking an electrical design professional to assist in the production and modification of design calculations, technical reports, and engineering plans for transportation projects in the Kansas City area. You will contribute to project delivery by applying engineering techniques and collaborating with project teams.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
- Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE industry standards preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and CAD tools (MicroStation/AutoCAD).
Responsibilities
- Assist in designing electrical systems for transportation projects, including roadway lighting, tunnels, traffic signals, and power distribution.
- Perform basic engineering calculations (voltage drop, conduit sizing).
- Prepare and update plans, specifications, and technical reports.
- Support field investigations and data collection.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and learn industry standards (NEC, NFPA, IEEE).
- Utilize design tools such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, and lighting analysis software.
