MDU Resources Group is seeking an Engineer II to support electrical substations and electrical systems design. The role emphasizes safety as a top priority in day-to-day work and may include relocation assistance for qualified candidates.
The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering (ABET approved preferred) and 2 years of related experience in the oil and gas industry or associated fields, with travel 25–50%. Sponsorship is not provided.
Responsible for a variety of engineering tasks associated with a particular assignment in one of the engineering departments or field operating districts. Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day-to-day work routine for self and others.
Level I: Performs basic and entry level engineering and completes other tasks related to the support and development of the department.
Level II: Applies standard engineering methods and techniques to solve problems and completes other tasks related to the support and development of the department
In this Electrical Engineer role, the successful candidate will support the programming logical controls within electrical substations and design of electrical systems.
Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.
Required to maintain a valid driver’s license.
May be subject to the Company’s DOT Substance Abuse Testing Program.
Requires travel: Moderate (25% - 50%).
