Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from ABET-accredited college.
• Ability to follow company policies and procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication, with senior leadership interface.
• Organized, self-directed, multi-tasking, team oriented, and able to take direction.
• Willingness to travel and work in office and field environments as needed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Work within a multidiscipline team to develop designs on projects of varying size.
• Read and follow Customer design documents.
• Assist Lead Engineer to develop budget requirements for proposed projects.
• Collaborate with estimating team on material and equipment estimates.
• Prepare construction/installation work packages and QA reviews.
• Coordinate design activities with other engineering disciplines.
• Review project documents for conformity, quality assurance, and compliance.
• Participate in constructability reviews for assigned projects.
• Develop new techniques and/or improved processes for project execution.
• Provide support to field construction and commissioning activities during installation.
• Participate in client design review meetings.
• Assist in developing one-line diagrams and wiring diagrams.
• Maintain electrical lists (load, equipment, cables).
• Develop calculations for equipment sizing, cables, raceways, and grounding.
• Input design for raceway systems (underground ducts, cable tray, conduit).
• Input design for lighting systems (interior, exterior, roadways).
• Input design for grounding systems.
• Coordinate with engineering and other crafts for a complete design.
• Work with vendor documents for purchase design conformance.
• Assist Lead Engineer with purchase specifications.
• Provide bid reviews for material, equipment, and outside services.
• Participate in equipment inspections for purchase design conformance.
