Job summary

Scientific Research Corporation in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an Electrical Engineer I to join a program supporting P-8A aircraft modifications and related technicalDATA packages. The role involves drafting electrical installation designs, conducting research and analysis, and mentoring junior engineers.

The candidate will work closely with program management, customers, and government personnel to ensure accurate technical documentation and compliant procedures, with on-site responsibilities

Qualifications

• BS/BA and/or 0-2 years electrical engineering experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and management.
• Familiarity with government civilians, military personnel, other contractors, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Researching and preparing drafts and/or finished technical drawings to program management and customers.
• Supporting P-8A modifications to include internal racks, sensors/antennas, and radomes, and ensuring accompanying Flight Clearance Technical Data Packages (TDPs) are complete and accurate.
• Performing research and analysis on projects to enhance the technical development of the product and/or service.
• Assisting in establishing supportability and maintainability concepts based on the twelve logistics elements, e.g., engineering change proposals and technical directives, and managing technical data and databases.
• Drafting, compiling, and reviewing electrical installation design packages, including drawings, concepts of operations, and impact statements.
• Performing physical configuration audits and engineering investigations.
• Providing on-site support for modifications and responding to customer requests, reviews, and signing technical documents (drawings, ELDA, test procedures).
• Developing and reviewing Avionics Changes (AVCs), RAMECs, and AFCs.
• Mentoring journeyman-level engineers.
