Actalent is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a hybrid role in Louisville, KY. You will work on utility-scale BESS, renewables, and power delivery projects, taking ownership from concept to construction.

You'll design electrical packages, perform QA/QC, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating across disciplines to deliver high-impact infrastructure solutions.

Electrical Engineer Hybrid

Were looking for an Electrical Engineer to join a nationally recognized engineering and infrastructure consulting firm supporting some of the most exciting work happening across Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), renewable energy, substations, transmission, and power delivery.

Youll work on utility-scale energy projects from early concept through construction while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams. What Youll Do

• Design utility-scale BESS projects, including conceptual layouts, one-line diagrams, and electrical design packages
• Support projects from early concept through Issued for Construction (IFC)
• Evaluate energy storage technologies and vendors
• Develop and review electrical plans, specifications, reports, construction documents, and cost estimates
• Work across renewable energy, power generation, substations, transmission, distribution, and microgrid projects
• Partner with civil, structural, high-voltage, SCADA, telecommunications, and other engineering disciplines
• Provide construction support including RFIs, submittal reviews, and change orders
• Perform QA/QC reviews and help mentor junior engineers

What Were Looking For

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 4+ years of electrical engineering experience
• Experience within BESS, renewable energy, power generation, substations, transmission & distribution, or power systems
• Experience developing electrical design packages, one-line diagrams, and construction documents
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary engineering teams

Lexington, KY or Louisville, KY

• Onsite during the first 6 months for onboarding and team integration

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Louisville, KY.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $65.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
