Job summary

TechINT Solutions Group is seeking an electrical engineer to join on site at the TEDAC Technical Exploitation Unit (TExU). You will perform engineering analysis and troubleshooting of complex devices to provide detailed reports to law enforcement, military services, and international partners.

The role requires a U.S. citizen with an active TS clearance and 3+ years of hands-on testing using standard lab equipment. This is a full-time position with periodic TDYs (1–2 weeks).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must have TS clearance active.
• 3+ years testing electronic/electrical devices with lab equipment.
• 3+ years analyzing and troubleshooting devices to component level.
• Knowledge of interconnect interfaces (I2C, SPI, LPC, PCIE, etc.).
• Ability to prepare reports and briefing materials.

Responsibilities

• Conduct electrical/electronic device analysis and troubleshooting.
• Prepare detailed analysis reports for law enforcement, military, and international partners.
• Interface with clients and internal/external engineers to present findings.
• Support TDYs of 1–2 weeks as required.

TechINT is looking for a skilled individual to work on site at the Terrorist Explosive Device Analytical Center (TEDAC) Technical Exploitation Unit (TExU). The successful applicant will perform electronic and trend analysis of IEDs and associated components to include device identification, radio frequency and signal characterization, electrical schematic reconstruction, electronic data recovery and possible trends in IED related matters. This will help capture critical information regarding the device’s functionality to provide detailed analysis reports to law enforcement organizations, military services, and international partners.Job# 1663

Job Description

As an electrical engineer, you understand the power behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to providing engineering analysis and troubleshooting of complex devices that threaten the safety of both the warfighter and law enforcement personnel. We’re looking for an electrical engineer who can use their skills to conduct engineering analysis and ensure the quality of service to the organization's clients. Apply basic principles, theories, and concepts to job assignments, exhibit technical and operational proficiency, and solve problems of moderate to advanced complexity. Additionally, the candidate should be able to rapidly contribute to the completion of projects and programs in an area of expertise based on their past experience, as well as directly interface with internal and external clients.

*NOTE: This position will have TDYs. They will typically last 1-2 weeks!

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineeringor other applicable field.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must have TS clearance active to be considered
• 3+ years of experience in testing electronic or electrical devices with standard lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, power supplies, RF signal generators, waveform generators, audio analyzers, DSP analyzers, and multimeters.
• 3+ yearsof experience performing analysis, generating schematics, and troubleshooting of electronic or electrical devices to the component level in various conditions.
• Understanding electronic circuit design and PCB layout with knowledge of physical interfaces used for inter-IC communication such as I2C, SPI, LPC, PCIE, etc.
• Experience preparing written documents such as reports, test plans, design specifications, requirements documents, and training materials.
• Ability to brief and present findings to clients, customers, and external partners, interact with client engineers, respond to technical questions and requests from customers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with imaging, extracting, and parsing data from electronic devices.
• In-depth experience programming with Python, C, C++ programming languages.
• Understanding of microcontroller architecture (ARM, RISCV, etc.) and assembly language programming.
• Experience with reverse engineering tools, including IDA Pro, OllyDbg, or Ghidra .
