Job summary

Planet Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Wallingford, CT to design electrical systems from concept through design completion for diverse facilities. You will modify drawings across power, process and facility types, and apply engineering codes and best practices.

The role requires an ABET-accredited degree with 3+ years of experience (FE path or MS preferred), strong communication, and CAD proficiency (AutoCAD, MicroStation). Direct hire, market compensation discussed in interviews.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited EE degree with 3+ years experience.
• FE exam with ABET-accredited degree and 3+ years.
• MS in EE with 2+ years experience.
• Strong engineering techniques and procedures knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Analytical, methodical problem-solving.
• Proficient with standard engineering tools.
• CAD, MicroStation and 2D/3D rendering experience.
• Attention to detail and teamwork.
• EIT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical design from concept through design completion.
• Review production drawings for multiple facilities.
• Design electrical components per project requirements.
• Apply electrical engineering concepts and codes.
• Research and compile project data.
• Update drawings in CAD software.
• Prepare client presentations and shop drawings.
• Perform field measurements and calculations.
