Job summary

Nakupuna Companies, a DoWEA Pacific Region contractor, seeks a full-time Electrical Engineer to lead on-site facility assessments of power distribution, lighting, generators, UPS, and fire alarm systems across military installations in the Pacific region.

The role requires extensive travel, strict safety protocols, and data-driven reporting for FCARs. At Arlington, VA-based hub, candidates with PE or EIT are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Expertise evaluating institutional electrical systems and life safety infrastructure.
• Experience applying the USACE BUILDER methodology to electrical components.
• Ability to organize and section major electrical equipment for data entry into E-SMS.
• Active PE license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT/FE) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Facility Condition Assessments of electrical systems and life safety infrastructure.
• Enter collected data and condition ratings into E-SMS within 90 days of each site visit.
• Support FCAR development with verified electrical inventory and data.
• Identify, record and maintain equipment IDs and nameplate data in the asset system.
• Document deficiencies with photos and notes for DAM uploads and safety compliance.
