Tetra Tech is seeking an Entry Level Electrical Engineer in Englewood, CO to join a design team and participate in a comprehensive training program. You will assist with electrical, instrumentation, and controls design for oil and gas projects nationwide under a lead Electrical Engineer.

The role emphasizes learning, collaboration, and professional growth, with target salary in the $75,000–$90,000 range and a strong benefits package.

Formación

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 0–5 years of experience.
• Must communicate clearly with peers, contractors, and clients.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Self-starter capable of solo projects and working in a team; detail oriented.
• FE exam preferred.
• AutoCAD or Revit familiarity preferred.
• Exposure to motors, motor controllers, drives, and programming/controls a plus.
• Knowledge of NEC codes preferred.
• Pre-employment drug screening required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsabilidades

• Provide electrical, instrumentation, and controls design support for pipeline, pump/compressor, and terminal projects nationwide.
• Perform load calculations and cable sizing/routing.
• Prepare P&IDs, One Lines, Panel Schedules, Loop Diagrams, and related drawings.
• Procure equipment, instruments, and materials; communicate with project teams and vendors.
• Support QA/QC for client deliverables and conduct site visits.
• Develop control narratives and operating philosophies.

Your Role:

This position provides electrical, instrumentation, and controls engineering design support for pipeline, pump/compressor station, and terminal/tank projects nationwide. You will participate in a multi-disciplinary project team.A successful candidate will bring design engineering and technical expertise to a team of established consultants with a proven track record of 40+ years in the Oil & Gas Industry.Work will be performed under the supervision of a lead Electrical Engineer.

• Arc Flash Study and software modeling.
• Assist in design and design drawing production, including:
  • P&IDs.
  • One Lines.
  • Panel Schedules.
  • Loop Diagrams.
  • Cable & Conduit Schedules.
  • PLC Schematics.
  • Communication Equipment Schematics.
  • Area Classification Drawings.
  • Construction Site Plans.
  • Grounding Drawings.
  • Cable Tray Layout.
  • Building Layout Drawings.
  • Lighting Plans.
• Perform load calculations.
• Cable sizing and routing.
• Specification/Procurement of equipment, instruments, materials.
• Communicate with project team, clients, and vendors.
• Support QA/QC for deliverables to clients.
• Site visits.
• Cause and effect matrices.
• Control Narratives.
• Operating Philosophies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required.
• 0 - 5 years of previous experience.
• Must be able to communicate with peers, contractors, and clients clearly and efficiently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Must be a self-starter capable of handling solo projects as well as working with a group, eager to learn and expand your skillset, and be detail oriented.
• Passed FE Exam preferred.
• AutoCAD or Revit familiarity/experience preferred.
• Exposure to motors, motor controllers, drives, and programming/controls a plus.
• Knowledge of NEC codes preferred.
• A Pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations is required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.

Target salary range: $75,000 to $90,000. Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining pay, including but not limited to: education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.
