Redwood Materials in San Francisco seeks an Electrical Engineer for Energy Storage Projects to turn early-stage inputs into a buildable scope, a concept design, and a clear permitting and interconnection path. You will coordinate跨-disciplinary teams and support customer pursuits with Business Development and Product teams.
Responsibilities include producing concept layouts, SLDs, and feasibility studies, and shaping the Basis of Design package for handoff to detailed design.
About Redwood Materials Redwood is localizing a global battery supply chain that seamlessly integrates recovery, reuse, and recycling - keeping critical minerals in circulation and driving the energy transition. Founded in 2017, we’re delivering low-cost and large-scale energy storage and producing battery materials in the U.S. for the first time, all from batteries we already have. Redwood Materials is building grid-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and this role shapes those projects before detailed design and construction begin. As the Electrical Engineer on the Energy Storage Project, you take early, ambiguous inputs and turn them into a buildable scope, a concept design, and a clear permitting and interconnection path. You support active customer pursuits alongside the Business Development and Product teams, then hand a gap-closed engineering package to the detailed design team for execution. The work rewards people who move fast without sacrificing the depth that sets projects up to succeed.
